The former senator who represented Akwa Ibom North East in the seventh senate has been dropped by the president.
Senator Ita Enang served as the Presidential Adviser on senate matters for the past four years. Although he continued to act as the president aide after the tenure has elapsed hoping that his appointment would be renewed. This development came in when the president annouced newly appointed aides which many of them were lucky to be re-appointed.
The belief in the presidency is that Mr Enang did not perform well in establishing a relationship between the President and senators of the eight senate, despite being a former senator. Meanwhile, the president has picked a former senator from Osun state, Omoworare Babajide as Enang’s replacement.
